There are plenty of other books out there that will give you concrete actionable steps on how to find your dream job, but I'm guessing most people already know what to do; they just have trouble getting themselves to do it since they are being blocked by their psychological and sineatr states.
Over the years, I periodically skim through it for its highlighted lines, dog-eared pages as well as the personal notes I have compiled over the years.
Ordinary People as Monks and Mystics: While working through this book I was able to identify my values and goals and find the courage to step through my fears to find fulfilling work and a more positive mindset on what work is supposed to be.
Do What You Love, the Money Will Follow: Discovering Your Right Livelihood
The idea and message of this book are great. We are experiencing technical difficulties. The highest love a person can have for you is to wish for you to evolve into the best person you can be.
This harkens to "chop wood, carry water", mindfulness and meditation It was Shunrya Suzuki, a deeply respected Zen master, who wrote of this phenomenon in the classic Zen understanding of the issue. This book explores this so well. Very Good or Better.
Costs may vary based on destination. The book gives numerous examples of people who developed the confidence to do what they love, and the steps they took to get there. I now use many of these concepts and ideas as I plucked this book off my bookshelf when needing a last minute read to take on a plane ride.
Why not do what you love? They must sustain themselves during the tension of these days or months sinehar yearswhile continuing to move in the direction they have decided is good for them. There really is no substitute for doing, although books like this are okay and probably do help people.
