Do you polish as you go or are you a multi-drafter? When Tegan is killed trying to save her magical ability from being discovered, Digger flees. The story follows Digger as she escapes the consequences of her thieving lifestyle and assumes an alias with the intention of escaping further into the countryside and finds herself instead trapped with her saviors in a mountain keep where she finds out there is more to them than she realized and ends up having to reveal to them that she has darker secrets than her life as a street thief.

Starcrossed started out really, really slowly. I also liked that there was very little romance. It seemed to me I saw echoes of a number of mythologies in them.
Elizabeth, it sounds like you've put a lot of research into your book. And then it upped the ante by having almost nothing happen in the first two hundred pages.
